For over a year, MCAR has been dealing with an issue with our septic system. Our drain field is no longer doing its job, leaving the play yard/pasture (future site for the livestock barn) unusable. We must rectify this issue in ordert o stay in compliance with state regulations. Currently there is no area for dogs to play off leash, and our barn project has been postponed for nearly a year. 

After having our property surveyed (twice), a wonderful group of experts including soil scientists and engineers have determined that there is no good area on our property for a drain field repair area.

A plan “B” is now in place and awaiting approval from the state. This process has been frustrating and expensive. So far, MCAR has spent over $7500 on this issue, and will need to spend tens of thousands more to finish the project.

This was an unavoidable problem as we have outgrown our old septic system. Needless to say this has been very draining on our time and especially our funds. Now more than ever we need your support!
